Church In a Home Setting

I've been thinking about something that is close to my heart and really means a great deal to me.
It's a concept that not many people know a great deal about so i'm going to share what's on my
heart so that you all can get to know me a little better and so that you'll know my heart better too.
I was apart of a group of people that met for a church in a home setting in rural grimes county tx
in the community of white hall out on fm 2988 in southern grimes county. The church was called
"The Home Fellowship" and we met for church in a home setting every sunday afternoon from 4-
6PM and we'd start off with corporate prayer in which everyone in the room would pray out loud
then move right on in to praise and worship then straight in to the teaching time of the service in
which 3 men would teach for 2 sundays each then rotate back to the first guy. After the message
we would have open communion and a song, it was the most meaningful time of the evening.
We would also have a big buffet dinner together from 6-7PM before everyone left to go home.
We had to close it down in september of 2011 due to the face that no one volunteered the use of
their home for church because the only way that the church would survive is if we could rotate
from home to home each week so that one family isn't stuck hosting it and having to prepare their
home for church each week. I would like to start a new home fellowship here in the Montgomery
area and do it up right using the model that put in place but the elders of the home fellowship that
i was apart of which is based on Acts 2:42 which talks about the days of the early church in which
people met for church in a home setting, so i encourage you all to read Acts Chapter 2 and then get
back to me and let me know if you'd like to be apart of a church in a home setting, until then..........
